The YITAHOME ice maker does not have a freezing function, but it has a thickened foam layer that keeps the ice from melting for 6-8 hours. We recommend removing the ice and placing it in the freezer. The machine has a drain hose, and when installed, you need to have your water hook-ups and a drain. The water will use gravity to drain automatically.
